Beyonce in Trinidad. A wasted Opportunity if not Pursued.

The Recording Industry Association of Trinidad and Tobago (RIATT) is querying whether Beyonce’s concert will result in gains for local artistes.

TSTT is making a substantial investment to stage an artiste like Beyonce in Trinidad and Tobago. However not using this occasion to initiate discussions on collaborations between Beyonce and any of our local flagship artistes would be considered a wasted opportunity.

Where is the Trinidad and Tobago Entertainment Company Ltd (TTENT) in this picture? It’s unfortunate that TTENT is not engaged in the planning process of an event of this magnitude. This would have also ensured an opportunity to position ourselves internationally via the current largest female performer in the world.

It is our hope that there is still an opportunity for discussions and that in the future consideration is given to engage TTENT and relevant industry stakeholders in this type of event.
