The Recording Industry Association of Trinidad and Tobago (RIATT) is the trade association representing the business and legal interest of local record labels, music production companies, executive producers, recording artists, groups, bands, musicians involved in the recording of all genres of music in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Organization was established in 1996 as a non - profit organization to promote the development of the local music industry.

RIATT’s Main Purpose

To facilitate its members in maximizing on the potential income when their products and services are made available.

To finally put a stop to and further prevent all unfavorable circumstances and unacceptable activities within the local music industry.

The Recording Industry Association of Trinidad and Tobago (RIATT), along with its partner Barrack Yard Productions, has set in motion the pre- production phase of “Calypso On Trial: the story of the calypso Rum and Cocoa Cola” written by Lord Invader and the litigation which followed its release in 1943.
